Project Analysis

    Course details

  • Recommended Prior Knowledge

    -

  • Objectives

    Promote the integration of content taught in the fields of thermal and electrical energy during the course in order to develop students' capacity for critical analysis and autonomous work.
    Students must be able to:
    O1 - Understand and interpret a project in the area of ??thermal energy;
    O2 - Understand and interpret a project in the area of ??electrical energy;
    O3 - Understand the characteristics and technical specifications of the equipment and its application in projects in the aforementioned areas.

  • Teaching Methods

    Based on case studies, that is, on existing projects in the areas of thermal and electrical energy, the student is encouraged to rediscover and apply knowledge taught throughout the course, the integration of skills spread across different UCs and autonomous learning, but supervised by teachers.

  • Internship(s)

  • Syllabus

    Interpretive analysis of projects in the area of ??electrical and thermal energy:
    C1 - Identification of energy needs;
    C2 - Interpretation of diagrams, schemes, circuits and piping layout;
    C3 - Verification of component sizing;
    C4 - Verification of thermal load calculations;
    C5 - Verification of control systems;
    C6 - Verification of applicable technical standards.

  • Content Explanation

    Each element of the syllabus C1, C2, C3, C4, C5 and C6 is directly linked to the learning objectives O1, O2 and O3 ensuring that students acquire the necessary skills to understand, interpret and apply knowledge for the implementation of energy projects thermal and electrical.
    This coherence ensures diversified training aligned with market demands and technical standards.

  • Methodology Explanation

    Assessment through the work developed during classes and the presentation and discussion of reports on the work developed will allow identifying the level of interpretative capacity that the student demonstrated in the exercise of analysis, understanding and critical observation of projects in the areas of thermal and electrical energy.
